Come on it's Whitney

Posted by Lila on January 30, 1999:

It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
I didn't like it at first because the beginning sounded too much like R. Kelly. Later i've grown to like it. 4/5

Heartbreak Hotel:
I like it but the last parts are too repetitive. I like the ending when she says "I ain't gone take it now more." Go ahead girl. 4/5

My Love Is Your Love:
This is a really sweet song. I love the way Wyclef produced it. 5/5

When You Believe:
I really don't like Mariah. She ruined the song. 2/5

If I Told You That:
The beat is too much like "The Boy is Mine". The chorus is kind of catchy but it could have been better. 3/5

In My Business:
It is a really typical Missy song. It's okay. 3.5/5

I Learned From The Best:
She sounds so great in this song. It does sound a bit like EnVogue's "Too Gone Too Long" but it's way better. 4/5

Oh Yes:
This song is too slow but the chorus is pretty catchy. 3.5/5

Get It Back:
It sounds too much like a Jerkins song. Once I hear "If I Told You That" what's the use of listening to this song. 2.5/5

Until You Come Back:
A very beautiful song. That's all there is to it. 4.5/5

I Bow Out:
This song gets good at first but then it gets really repetetive and boring. 3/5

You'll Never Stand Alone:
My favorite song on the album. This song is so sweet it makes me want to cry. 7/5

I Was Made To Love Him:
I love Lauryn so for her to be in this song makes it my other favorite. 6/5

Overall impressions on MLIYL:
This album is very good thanks to the ballads. She could have stayed away from some of the Jerkins songs because they all sound the same just like in the Brandy cd. I could never get sick of listening "You'll Never Stand Alone" which by itself is a good reason to buy the album. Overall it's a good cd. A classic.
