Whitney rules!

Posted by Paul K. on January 22, 1999:

It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
Catchy groove. Love Whitney's phrasing. A+

Heartbreak Hotel:
Whitney sounds great. All the voices blend well together. Didn't like it at first-now I love it.A+

My Love Is Your Love:
Love the words and the jamaican type beat. A+

When You Believe:
I love this song. Whitney's voice is much stronger and has more depth than Mariah. A

If I Told You That:
Cool beat and Whitney does well with it. A

In My Business:
I like the way Whitney's voice sounds here. Not going to be released as a single, but I like it. A

I Learned From The Best:
Love this song. It proves that no one can sing a song like Whitney with all the emotion and expression she shows here. A+

Oh Yes:
I like the romantic and sensual feel to this song. Whitney sings it well. A

Get It Back:
This is probably my least favorite song on the CD-but Whitney sings it well. B

Until You Come Back:
I love, love, love this song and the way Whitney puts her all into it. She sounds great and I love the feel of this song has. A+++

I Bow Out:
I like this song very much. Whitney sounds strong. A

You'll Never Stand Alone:
Another song I love. Sweet, emotion filled, and very, very well sung by Whitney. Sure to hit#1. A+++

I Was Made To Love Him:
Cool song. Like what Whitney does with it. A+

Overall impressions on MLIYL:
I love MLIYL. I listen to it every day
and never get tired of it. I think it
proves Whitney can do it all-pop,gospel,
r&b, dance, ballads, rap. No one can
come close to her versatile talent. Good job Whitney. MLYL will be a hit for her despite Arista's less than perfect promotion.
