It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
At first I didn't like it too much. But now since I have listened to it 100+ times I like it. It is very different for Whitney but I like it. (3.25/5)
Heartbreak Hotel:
At first I didn't like it too much. But now since I have listened to it 100+ times I like it. It is very different for Whitney but I like it. I think there was too much of Faith and Kelly though.(3/5)
My Love Is Your Love:
I love this song now. It has great lyrics and the beat grew on me. Wyclef is a great sing writer. I loved Whitney's performance of it on Letterman's show on Dec. 10th. (4/5)
When You Believe:
This song I have listened to more then 200 times. It has been online for months. I have grown to like it but it is not what I had hoped for. It was way to hyped. The lyrics are not that great. But still it is a good song. (3.5/5)
If I Told You That:
This is one of my favorites of the album. It seems like a fresh version of lots of songs on I'm Your Baby Tonight. I think it is great. It will be huge in dance clubs. (4.25/5)
In My Business:
I like it more. I hated it at first but have grown to like it. But I did expect more from Missy. (3/5)
I Learned From The Best:
I love this song. I agree with lots of people that it is overproduced but the words are great and Whitney hits those notes like the pro she is. It will be a huge hit. (4.5/5)
Oh Yes:
I like it now, but it took time to grow on me. It is the better of the 2 Missy songs on this album. (3/5)
Get It Back:
It is ok. It is not as good as Its Not Right But Its OK or If I told you that. It is ok though. (2.5/5)
Until You Come Back:
Its good. It is very retro sounding. It reminds me of Whitney's early work. Some people do not like this fact but I do. I love Whitney's early songs. Babyface could have and should have done better. (3/5)
I Bow Out:
I like this song. It is good. Has nice lyrics. Whitney's vocals are good. It is just plain good. (3/5)
You'll Never Stand Alone:
MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM. It is great. I love Diane Warren's songs. She did not dissapoint here. It is beautiful. It will bring tears to anyones eyes. But I think Shanice is too good to do backround vocals. She steals some of the spotlight from Whitney. But the song is still AWSOME. I think it should be released and it will go to #1. (5/5)
I Was Made To Love Him:
It is good. It is what I expected from Lauryn Hill. I did have a hard time understanding Whitney in parts of the song though. But overall a very hip and spiritual performance by Whitney. (3/5)
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
This album is one of the best of this Decade. It is also probably Whitney's best ever. It is different from her other album becuase there is not one song that is going to become an instant classic, probably. But it has 13 songs that are great. Not one songs isn't good, far different from other Whitney albums. Overall (3.5/5) I cannot wait for another album. 8 years is TOOOOOOOOOOOOO long to wait for another album for our Queen, Whitney Houston.
