It's Not Right, But It's Okay:
(4/5) I liked it. Has a very catchy beat and Whitney turns an ordinary song into a spectacular dance song. This will be a hit on the R&B charts as well as a crossover hit on the Pop charts.
Heartbreak Hotel:
(4/5) I loved the music and the way each singer did their part. They blended well together. This is definitely an R&B hit.
My Love Is Your Love:
(4/5) Another good song. Wyclef hooked Whitney up with a different style that will bring her many new fans. I sing this song in my sleep. Nuttin' but R&B here, but because of the popularity, it will crossover to Pop too.
When You Believe:
(3/5) Whitney does a great job on the first verse; Mariah does a good job on the second verse, but everything after that is a disappointment until after the bridge when Whitney shows how soulful she is as compared to Mariah. This is Pop. Too bad it's not doing so good on the charts. With airplay, it would easily be a Number 1 despite the fact that it wasn't produced well.
If I Told You That:
(5/5) My second favorite song on the CD. Very catchy hook to it. Could dance to this for hours. Can't wait til it hits the clubs! R&B song with some flava for Pop.
In My Business:
(3/5) Girl's got attitude! I like the lyrics and the music and of course the way my girl sings, but this is below average for Missy. She could have done better. Still, if released, this could be an R&B hit.
I Learned From The Best:
(3/5) This song is a bit overrated by most of the reviews as compared to the ballads produced by Face. Of course Whitney sounds good, but it's just an average song. David Foster has certainly done better. Pop
Oh Yes:
(3/5) This is a good song to put on repeat when you're spending some intimate times with your girl. I liked it. R&B
Get It Back:
(4/5) Loved the music and loved the way Whitney sung it. Has a different sound. Would be an R&B hit.
Until You Come Back:
(5/5) My favorite song on the CD. She lets it all go and gives her all in this song. I also liked the jazzy sound Face put into it. This will be a definite Number 1 on R&B and Pop charts!
I Bow Out:
(4/5) I liked it. The mid-tempo groove suits Whitney well. She should do more songs like this. A remix would put this song at Number 1 on R&B charts too!
You'll Never Stand Alone:
(5/5) Loved this song too. No one can sing a slow jam like Mrs Houston-Brown! My third favorite song on the CD. A hit for R&B and Pop.
I Was Made To Love Him:
(5/5) Lauryn brought us another new sound for Whitney. If released, this will be Number 1 for R&B charts.
Overall impressions on MLIYL:
Great album. You will not be disappointed with this - Whitney fan or not. These are great songs; her best album yet!
