Whitney gives her all...

Anyone who tells me to beware of bad luck on Friday the 13th can think again. Long story short, I drove to AC and found myself in the 5th row at a show I'll never forget. No doubt, Whitney had some trouble that evening. Her voice was a bit hoarse, but she still did very well. The highlights of the show had to be the four new numbers: MLIYL, ILFTB, IWMTLH, and best of all, IF I TOLD YOU THAT. I was lucky enough to get a sampling of the album early, and was hoping Whitney would do this song. Though I was up close, most of the people around me were just sitting there watching the concert without much enthusiasm. Myself and a few others had a bit more energy and were having a blast dancing and singing. I guess I really stood out when she did IITYT, because I was singing all the words already. Anyway, she pointed and basically stared at me and sang almost a whole verse with me! It was funny because she kind of gave me a look like "How do you know this already?" So cool.

The back up singers were really tight, and Gary entertained us with a great rendition of Eric Clapton's "Change The World" while Whitney changed her outfit. Despite having difficulty, I think she did one of the best renditions of IWALY that I have ever heard her do.

I hope everyone who visits this site as often as I do gets a chance to see a show up close like I did this past Friday. No doubt, it will be a show I will never forget.
