saving all my love for cq

Which Concert: Posted by cq on November 20, 1998: Hi everbody!! I am barely comin down from my Atlantic City high. I've been real busy at work tyrin to get caught up, and all I can think about is my experiences in New Jersey. I've been re-living the moments over and over as I always do, I LIVE for WHITNEY'S performances, and I NEVER walk away disapointed. NEVER. I know how fortunate I am to have seen her only two concerts for this year, and look forward to many more. I have always wanted to see Whitney sing in her home state, this was a dream come true. A couple of things that need responding to: Whitney was not wearing a wig, and her outfit on Satrurday was not sleeveless. She was TOTALLY joking when she said she was reading the words on all the papers, there was not a telepromter up there, it was a joke!!!:) I do know how disapointed I would have been if Whitney had done the "professional" thing and cancelled. I came a long way to see her, and thankgoodness she did not do that. I guess some people are not capable of making situations fun for themselves, they have to rely on someone else to do it, and hey if you can not do it, how can they rag on someone else for not doing it for them. Get real. Friday nights performance has real personal meaning for me. Too personal for me to share, but I had to pick myself up off the floor after Whitney sang MLIYL, and she gave me so much inspiration just as she always has. Whitney taught me to always do my best, and showed me just how human she is and I love her for that. When I first heard Bette S. play the intro to IFITYT, I could not believe it. It was the funkiest, baddest groove I have ever heard, and when Whitney appeared in that gown, holy smokes! She is awesome. I've seen her in two of the outfits she wore over the two concerts and she always looks good, but these gowns and her ooh lala!! I can never believe how beautiful she is. How come she hardly ever wins "Bessed Dressed" awards? I know why, no one out there has as much class as Whitney thats why. Saturday night's concert was much different than Friday's. Different numbers were played, they had another video played in the middle that they did not play the first night, and she did the Diana Ross medely as oppossed to her own songs from the night before. Saturday nights concert was perfect, someone complained of "Sunday" comin up and singing. I enjoyed those young ladies, they were terrific. I look forward to the release of their album in January. For those of you who missed it, that group is on Whitney's record label. Gary sang a different song on Friday than he did on Saturday in addition to his duet with Whitney on Saturday. As you read Luther Vandross was there Sat., but Friday Wyclef and Pebbles were up front along with many members of Whitney's family and friends. Both concerts were wonderful (more than wonderful) and each one was a show in it's own right. The bottom line: Whitney Houston's shows are always a class act, she always has superb back ground singers, and her band is untouchable. I do not know how people can complain, the talent on her stage is enoogh to fill the continent. THANK YOU WHITNEY FOR SAVING ALL YOUR LOVE FOR US!!!!!
