Whitney was enjoyed by the audience!Concert date: 10/13/99 Rotterdam, Holland
Review of the show: And Whitney? She sang the same songs, but had other clothes this time (So it is true that she never wears the same clothes two concerts after eachother!)! But as always, Whitney was stunning! Starting of with: 1. Get It Back... This made the audience applaud very hard, even harder then the day before. 2. Heartbreak Hotel... She sang it like before and the audience was aplauding and singing along with her. It sounded GREAT! 3. If I Told You That... Always a song which is OKAY! Whitney sounded really strong and the audience had a real GOOD TIME, ha ha 4. Saving all my love for you... WH did just a little part of this song, but that was okay, cause the part she sang was amazing. She could hit the "highs" and the "lows"! 5. Until you come back... A recognising audience started clapping with this song, for a very long time. Yesterday (The 12th) Whitney sounded a little stronger and clearer on this one, to be honest. But the audience, me included, loved it! 6. I learned from the best... YES, The new single, which is going to be released on the 9th OF NOVEMBRE!!! Like you never heard her before, well Clive, YOU'RE D*** RIGHT! To put it in just one word: AMAZING. 7. Step by step... Audience singing along with Whitney. All standing and singing and aplauding loud. I love this! 8. Queen of the night... (instrumental)... I knew Whitney was going to dress, but the people who hadn't seen it before stood up and danced and aplauded. (me too, by the way!). 9. My love is your love... YES, YES, YES, we love you much Whitney! I guess that that was what the audience was trying to say. Everybody stood up and "clapped their hands"! It was a great thing to see. When Bobbi was saying (recorded) "sing mommy" Whitney looked up, like she was saying; "I'm thinking of you BK!". Then there was this kinda weird dance thing with the dancers, I loved it! But I wasn't the only one, the rest of the audience also went crazy! 10. I wanna dance / How will I know... The old cuts always work out fine! And Whitney brought them like a real singer does, that means: She just did what we expected she would. That is of course, singing GREAT! And she let us sing parts too. Well it wasn't just parts, we sang ALL THE TIME, ha ha! 11. Jesus loves me... Short, but sounded great! 12. I Love The Lord... With such a great voice, that it brought me to tears. Which was actually a pity, cause I couldn't see WH! But it just happens to be one of my faves... I can't help it! 13. I Go To The Rock (+introduction of band)... Party on baby! The Lord was blessed by the whole audience, you could see and hear that! The great thing during the introduction of the band, singers and dancers, was, that she let them do their thing. I liked Gary's little singing part the best! We applauded hard, but for Gary the hardest! No wonder, he's family to the great Whitney Houston! Ha ha! We, a friend and I had to leave early, cause we would've missed the last train home. I had to go home, cause I had a important test for school, the 14th. So we missed the songs which followed the gospels. Under here are the songs she must have sang after that! I already heard and seen great versions of them on the concert of the 12th! 14. All at once... The audience loved the old cuts as much as the new ones! They really appreciated it that Whitney sang AAO. It was kinda like a surprise for me, cause I didn't hear anybody about it before. 15. Movie Medley: IBIYAM/WDIHSB/It Hurts Like Hell... In one word: GREAT!!! She hit the "high" ones, the "medium highs", the "medium lows" and the "lows". She had it all. Hearing her sing one of Aretha Franklin's songs was great too. 16. I Will Always Love You... The highs, the HIGHS!!! Wow, so that was 5 octave reach huh? Man, I was stunned! I never heard her like this before. And the audience was singing with her. To hear this many voices sing one particular song is great! 17. It's Not Right But It's Okay... A great "give-away". We all thought she would quit after IWALY, but she did this (amazing) uptempo song, called It's Not Right But It's Okay! I couldn't have thought of a better ending of an amazing night! In general: I liked the concert of the 12th a lot, because Whitney's voice was absolutely AMAZING! And I liked the concert of the 13th (which I haven't seen totally) a lot, because the audience was having more fun and Whitney was having more fun on the stage too! She even KISSED Bobby ON STAGE! So, don't believe anything what they write about a bad marriage, or something, cause they proofed they get along fine! Whitney, God has definately blessed YOU!
