Chocked by her power!Concert date: 10/01/99 Gothenberg, Sweden
Review of the show: The Scandinavium arena in Gothenburg were sold out. The support, Amanda Marshall, sang for about 35 minutes. She was really great, energetic dancing around, and her powerballad "If I didnīt have you" is so beautiful. Before the show started Bobby Brown appeard and got the crowd go crazy, screaming and applauding. Then they turned out the lights, and it got all dark. The band and the four dancers tiptoed in on stage. You could hear the beat from "Get it back" and Whitney appeard on the top of the stairs. The crowd screamed wild! She was so beautiful, tall and slim. The hair was short, dark, page. She wore the D&G outfit; coloured jeans, a tight black top, a richly coloured and glittering coat and purple boats. The set list was, like I remember it: 1. Get it back (great!) 2. Heartbreak Hotel 3. If I told you that 4. Saving all my love for you / Until you come back 5. I learned from the best Then she changed clothes to a very slim white dress and her brother Gary sang "Change the world". 6. My love is your love (without Bobbi-Kristina unfortunately) 7. I wanna dance with somebody 8. How will I know The crowd danced and sang along. Party! 9. I love the lord 10. I go to the rock Wonderful gospel. "Sweden feels it...." 11. Step by step (real good dance version) 12. I believe in you and me/Why does it hurt so bad/ It hurts like hell 13. I will always love you Beautiful ballads, but Whitney only sang like half the songs. And she was often interrupted by some people screaming "I love you Whitney"! But she answered back and didnīt seemed irritated. Her final number was "Itīs not right but itīs Ok". A great partyversion and the dancers came back on stage. During the show (which only lasted 1,5 hour) Bobby Brown danced and sang behind the loudspeakers, and he also entered the stage and danced with Whitney and hugged her. It was the most wonderful evening, and I had a very good view on the stage sitting at the second row. Perfect!! Thank you Whitney for a unforgetable evening. You are truely the best singer ever. And please come back to Sweden soon, we love you!
