Concert date: 9/24/99 Koln, Germany

Review of the show:
Philipp went to almost all of the German concerts for the MLIYL Tour. Phillipp swears that this concert in Cologne Germany was the best of all of them!

Philipp thinks this may be because it was in a room, not an outdoor arena. It was hot in the concert hall, which is beneficial for WH's voice.

Whitney did not do IEW at this concert.

When she sang IWALY, after the bridge + guitar solo, WH paused to add more drama. Then the crowd went wild. Then WH dropped (threw) her hankerchief down to the floor, and just as it hit the floor, the drummer went "bang" and WH song "and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-ee-aaaaa"... I was fantastic!

Whitney's voice sounded like the Bodyguard days. Philipp and the audience were in awe of Whitney. They had their mouthes open, because WH's voice was so jaw-dropingly amazing! Whitney held every note for a loooong time. She also showed off her higher register, with notes that remind Philipp of Mariah, except better.

Even the light show was done exceptionally well! Whitney was so sexy that night. The way she moved, the way she glided from one side of the stage to another...

She had sexiness and gracefullness and everything you'd ever want! Whitney is nearing 40 years old, but you'd think she was 27-28 at this concert! She was so 'young' in her dances...

During the break, Gary Houston did not sing (good!). Instead the background singers did a medley of WH songs, including QOTN and IHN. During this interim, they showed on a large screen footage of Whitney practicing her dances for the concert tour. This must have been shot in May 1999. Whitney was in a white tee shirt and jeans... laughing and practicing her choreography... they showed this footage in slow motion. It was great!

Philipp says that WH is in good shape to record an album right NOW. Her voice in Cologne was unlike any other German concert Philipp has been too this year.

Philipp is looking forward to his next German concert next week, to which he is dragging his sister.
