Whitney is GREAT!!!!!!

Posted by Joi Copridge on August 20, 1999:

Concert date: 7/20/99 Atlanta, GA

Review of the show:
My favorite song of the concert was "Saving All My Love." I don't know why, it never was one of my favorite song. But all of Whitney's songs are favorites over anyone else's. I like when she got the crowd involved in "Shoop." She had a contest to see which section could "Shoop" the best. I lost my voice during the concert. She didn't quite hit the note on "I'm Every Woman." But I was surprised to hear her sing "I Wanna Dance with Somedody" and "How Will I Know." Those are two of my favorite. She brought out Bobbi Kristina to sing "My Love is Your Love". Bobby Brown came out and it became a family segment. It was really cute! She wore a black cape that was undersided pink. It was okay. Then she wore a flowered dress with pink fur. Last she changed the fur to yellow. I was surprised to hear her sing "It Hurts Like Hell"(Aretha Franklin) from "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack. Whitney had church in the Fox Theatre. Coming from a Southern Black Baptist Church, the way that I acted was parallel to being in church. Whitney is great. The first song she sang was "Get It Back". Her new album is great. She sang the song as well live and better as she did on the album. Anyone who missed Whitney Houston on tour missed a real treat. Being a Platinum Club Member, I had to be there. The seat I had was wonderful. There were minor vision problems. But at the end of the concert, my friend and I ran to the front for the encore "It's Not Right, But It's Okay".
