WHITNEY HOUSTON DISSAPOINTS 42 FAN CLUB MEMBERS.Concert date: 8/01/99 San Francisco, CA
Review of the Meet And Greet : We were suppose to see 2 concerts at two seperate venues. We WERE able to see Whitney the 1st night in L.A., the second show where we were suppose to meet Whitney Houston in San Francisco she cancelled due to the fact she was sick. So, after spending over $1,000.00 for the trip package and the opportunity to meet Whitney Houston, we were told 10 minutes prior to ticket time that
#2 she wasn't even in the city of the venue. EVERYONE gets ill, understandable, but it was bad planning on the part of Fan Asylum, since we could have met her the first night in L.A. where there wouldn't have been a problem. At this venue we were not allowed to exit the bus sitting in a parking lot, while staff members of the Platinum Club talked on their celluar phones so that the 42 people on the bus would not be tipped off by other ticket holders entering the venue, that the show was cancelled. If Whitney only HAD throat problems (sore throat), she could have came to the venue to meet her fans who purposely spent over a GRAND NOT to go on vacation but to meet her (since there were people from California who attended this trip). Fans also traveled from the UK, Germany, Norway, Japan and various parts of the USA... Many fans were brought to tears and were left with many unanswered questions. I would never attend another trip package due to how we were treated the night of the concert and bad planning and lack of consideration.
Thanx Anon! I appreciate your thought. I'd love to read your review of that one concert your did pay $1000 for. It's OK if U wait till you've cooled off to write your review. I feel your pain. ~ RTWM |
