Concert date: 7/30/99 L.A., CA

Review of the show:
I went to the second concert of Whitney Houston at the Universal Amphitheater.I arrived inside the theater at 8:00pm which the concert started at 8:15.I went to the restroom so I didn't miss any of the concert not even 112.I got a souvenir booklet that cost $15 but it was worth it of who was on the cover The Voice, The Diva, The Queen Of Pop Mrs. Whitney Houston.

I got inside the theater and found my seats which I was sitting in Lodge 21 Row E Seat 103.They was good seats compare to when I saw Whitney at The Performing Arts Center in Cerritos.

What celebrities what is in attendance?Magic Johnson was there and BeBe Winans are the people who I know was there.

THE CONCERT

It was five minutes that I have been sitting down then before you know it the lights started to dimmed and everybody was clapping and yelling.

112 came out on stage and they danced very good then broke into thier hit song "Only You" which they sung it well and all the rest of the songs they sang also.Then came "Cupid" which is a slow jam but it a cool song.After that song they told everybody Thanx for coming out for supporting them and buying their album which is Double Platinum at the moment.Then one of the group member which his name is Mike said They was going to do a medley of songs that has inspired them and gotten them to where they are today.So they went into those medley of songs and I'm sure everybody enjoyed that because they put their heart & Soul into those songs.They was truly incredible.

Then they went into one of thier songs off their latest cd which the song is named "I Can Love You" and I enjoyed that alot.Then they broke into thier latest song which one of the group members named Marvin IF there was any single ladies in the room tonight and told them to wave their hands.Everybody was screamin and yelling for "We Can Do It Anywhere".LiL Zane came out and did his thing which was great.

They thanked everybody again for coming out and supporting them and the Whitney tour then they bowed.To Be Honest I thought they wasn't going to be that good but I guess Never Say Never because they are very good peformers.

WHAT Did 112 Wear?

Well they had on these nice white suits which they looked great in.

***INTERMISSION***

The moment that everybody has been waiting for the one and only Whitney Houston.Everybody was yelling, screaming, shouting, etc.She came out and went straight into "Get It Back" which she appeared on the left hand of the stage on top of the stairs.She sang good that song good but you haven't heard nothing yet when she went into "Heartbreak Hotel" she really sang that song witha all her song and was getting her groove on too but that still wasn't her best.Then she sang "Exhale(Shoop Shoop) she did her part well and then let the audience do thier thing.All I can say is that our section did the best which Whitney enjoyed us.

Then she found somebody that can really shoop but she said Only he shoop for Jesus.She introduced her brother and her friend Mr. BeBe Winans up on stage.They hugged each other then Whitney said to him I called you to see if you was coming and he said Well I was on the airplane on my way to see you he then said, I couldn't miss you. Whitney said, Don't make me cry. Then they hugged each other.BeBe Winans said he had thought of a shoop on his way over then he starting singing it and Whitney joined him.They was going back & forth shooping.But he said he wasn't through yet, he also made up a shoop for Whitney and sang that.I think mostly everybody enjoyed him which he can really sing not sing I mean sang.They hugged again and I know they really love each other then he went back to his seat.She said he is her brother and CeCe is her sister who she loves both dearly.

The concert was not over she sang "I learned From The Best" she put her heart into that song.Then she said to us she was going to take us back to memory lane which was the year of(she paused) everybody was screaming 85 then she finally said The year of 85. She did a meldley of her classics "Saving All My Love You""How Will I know" and she really did her thang on "I Wanna DAnce with somebody".That was one of the best performance of the evening.Then she went into "In My Business" which she sang wonderful on.Then it was time to change clothes.

Her brother came out Mr. Gary Houston sang a song which he sang very well.

Whitney came back on and did "In My Business" which she did very good on.Then she was telling the audience that they had a church going time the other night.So she went to a couple songs from The Preacher's Wife soundtrack called "I Love The Lord" and "I Go To The Rock" she sang those songs like nobody business once Whitney get into the lord there's no stopping her.She really loves the lord.Then she dang "It Hurts Like Hell" which she sang that song good also.

She sang "My Love Is Your Love" and the remix version of that song and her daughter Bobbi Kristina came and joined her which everybody enjoyed watching her did her thing.She was so cute.She was doing a little leg thing and saying Everybody Clap Your Hands which she was on beat too.Then Bobby came and join them.Bobbi Kristina went straing to him and gave the mic to him.Then Bobby started singing with Whitney then Bobbi took her mic back saying Clap Your Hands while Bobby and Whitney sharing a mic.I thought that was cute.All of them did a very good job especially Ms.Bobbi Kristina.

Whitney sang a medley of songs from that movies she has been in so I guess you can call it a Movie Medley but the best performance out of the movie medley and the whole show got to be "I Will Always Love You" which I think there are many people who will agree with me.She sang that song with all her power, strength, and energy.She was thanking everyone for coming out and blowing kisses to everyone telling them Good Night.She took a bow then she got up and left the stage.

The audience was still going wild for Whitney.Screaming, yelling, doing everyting until she came back on stage which she did they audience went wild for her.She sang "It's Not Right But It's Okay".She then told everybody Good Night For Good.

WHAT DID WHITNEY WEAR?

1ST Outfit: She had on a black tank top with a silver sequin belt and pants.

2nd Outfit: She had on a long grayish flower dress on with a little yellow fur coat.

3rd Outfit: She had on a long green wind breaker with a black top and sequin pants.

Highlights Of the Evening:

1. This one lady said I love you then Whitney went straight to her and said I love you too then the lady started crying she started singing softly Don't Cry.

2. Bobby and Whitney getting cozy with one another doing the performance of "My Love Is Your Love".Bobby was rubbing on her stamach while she was dancing moving her stomach back and forth.I thought that was cute.

Overall Performance:

That was one of the best concerts I went to.Both 112 and Whitney did excellent jobs.I'm not going to say Whitney voice was in top shape and she sang all the high notes good.There was times when her voice was cracking and she having trouble getting the high notes out.But she still sang very good.I will love to see her again because she truly a Entertainer and knows how to get a crowd going.I Love Whitney and Wish her more Success in the coming years.
