A true entertainer

Posted by Vince on July 29, 1999:

Concert date: 7/26/99 Denver, CO

Review of the show:
I drove 8 hours to see one of the greatest voices of our time...from the beggining of the show she moved and sung like a true artist...Even though Miss Whitney was clearly sick she performed and entertained to the best of her ability...and though her voice was not in the best of shape..she hit notes ranging from the deep deep to the high high...I applaud Whitney on her great performance, cause i know considering the obstacles it was not easy...A visitor to denver myself i found it dificult to breath the air at times too...and we all know singing is all breathing...She got an amen from me when she made the comment "How do you guys breath up here"...

I was on my feet practically the whole time...She rocked the house with her oldy but goodies, like I want to dance with somebody, and everyone was in the groove to new hits such as My love is your love...Denver seemed to be a little reserved at first and conservative at times but i had to bring a little Kansas flavor to the crowd showing whitney my support... I enjoyed the finally of I will always love you...was surprised she hit those notes after a battle through the whole night...only something a true performer with talent could do...She was truly amazing and even though I felt the price of tickets were high..i was still satisfied...

Whitney could have cancelled but she fought through it and was awsome...

BTW: I heard fiddlers green has a 10:00pm cut off time, no exceptions...I guess whitney houston was an exception this night cause the concert went way after 10... : )

I hope whitney gets better and continues to >
