Rocky Mountain High, c'td!

Posted by jeff on July 28, 1999:

Concert date: 7/26/99 Denver, CO

Review of the show:
During her already awesome concert, Whitney took the time to perform a song dedicated to the tragedy at Columbine and for JFK Jr. I'm not sure of the title of the song, but the words consist of "Has anybody seen my old friend Abraham? He freed a lot of people, but they say the good die young... I looked around and he was gone." Whitney added "Has anybody seen my old friend Isiah? (child that was killed at Columbine) They say he was a fine young man. I thought I saw him running around, but we looked around and some children are gone." She performed this same song in Washington concert as a tribute to, among others, Princess Di and the Notorious B-I-G. It was incredible the way she performed it here in Denver. You can feel her emotions through her voice. What a gift!
