Whitney Houston cancels concert at Fox

Pop diva Whitney Houston has canceled her performance for tonight at the Fox Theatre due to illness.

A spokeswoman for the Fox, Julie Lena, said Houston would try to reschedule the show. Lena said fans should hold on to their tickets.

Houston's tour has been plagued with problems. Her St. Louis show scheduled for Friday night was canceled earlier, organizers said, so that Houston could perform in Memphis. But on Friday, the Memphis show was also canceled. Houston canceled concerts in Washington and Newark, N.J., during the July 4 weekend because of swollen vocal chords, according to her publicist.
