Review of the show:

WH's Brother, Gary Sings:
I met Gary last year in Atlantic City. I love him too. He was so nice. Really tall. He sang another Stevie Wonder hit, "Higher Ground". But of course, the "higher ground" Gary seemed to be referring to was about religion. I can tell. It was good, but I like the original version of the song better, if only due to the synthetiser which is omni-present in the original, but not live.

Wardrobe Change:
WH came out again, this time in the same exact D&G outfit, but different colours. Instead of flashy pink and lime green, it was "a little bit less flashy pink -- closer to baby pink" and baby blue. I happen to like those colours, and they make good for the "young" look. The capri pants were in a flower print again. This time WH had pink boots. (or maybe they were blue boots, anyways they matched with the rest of the outfit). She had a dark blue fur jacket on. Even tho this outfit was basically the same as the first one, I wasn't horrified with it as it was more toned down. Less circus act, more class act. I liked it.

"I'm Every Woman"
This was the same choreography as done in the past (1994 Soul Train Awards, etc.). The crowd really loves this song. Whitney did her "high notes" adlibs, again. and again... Great dancing! Even at the beginning of this song (that part where she sings quasi acappella, she was singing it so well! wow!) For Charles: At no point during this concert was I "afraid" that WH could not make the next note. You know when WH is having a bad concert and you have to pray and cross your fingers that she hits the note and you are wincing... there was none of that.

"I Wanna Dance With Somebody"
This was the 1997 dance remix version. I hate this version and I would have liked to hear the original song, even if for the 1000th time. I heard this remix last year in Paris. That was enough. Oh well. The crowd loves this too, and they were all standing up since the previous song.

"How Will I Know"
Back to the Big Eighties, baby! WH did the original version of this bubble gum pop tune and the crowd went wild! It was done just like the 1980's. Whitney added some more high notes in her adlibs. It was incredible. There were 2 parts in this song where I noticed WH changed the melody to be able to show off her born-again vocal register. Oh yeeees! Love it! Love it! Love it! I can't get enough of this song!
