Which Concert: July 11 Aschaffenburg

I just needed some distance, if I had written my review immediately after the show, it would have been a never ending story of a lifetime experience ...
The Aschaffenburg concert was simply the most touching, emotional thing I ever experienced. Though Whitney's voice was not in the good shape like in her other European shows (but come on, these cold winds were really ugly), Nip offered her all and everything to the audience. I don't care about the high notes she didn't reach, this happens; her talent to take you to some higher places comes from a lot deeper inside.
She proved being a unique singer and artist by singing soul- and powerful versions of her songs besides of all the "problems" of the show.
These "problems" are some kind of two-sided medal.
By the press, the power going off, her vocal problems and Whitney's "emotional breakdown" were considered desastrous, embarrassing,... Journalists don't even care, only trying to repeat that image of a Diva with problems and planned tears as a theater-like strategy. "Whitney's show -the desaster", certainly this sells good. Better than "Whitney, the natural woman".
This is how she was received by the fans, who appreciated her strength (how would you keep masses of 65 000 in good moods for more than 15 min without electricity? Nip did, without leaving stage)and celestial singing, and felt with her, when she broke out into tears. Do we really need a reason for Whitney crying? This show was supposed to be the big ending of the European tour (and it still was!! but so lovely different), power off, failing high notes, whether private problems or not, but also she must have felt how many hearts and love where flying from the audience towards her. Isn't that enough reason? She showed her personal, fragile side, a look inside.
I prefer this show to all the "perfect" ones of Nip that I assisted so far. It was unique, professional and personal at the same time.
Nevertheless I'm so full of anger about the media. They got it again. But I will never ever believe again in a written word until I see the hidden truth behind with my own eyes.
