Hi Rachel et al

Sorry for the late review.

I was at the Manchester concert, where I met other Fans from the web, which was great! It was like meeting old friends, pity more were not there.

However, after the Italy show, I was apprehensive about WH's performance. As I waited nervously, Whitney came on 20 mins late, building up everyone's anticipation (the delay being due to one of Bobby's kids being hurt). During this delay, the fans started mexican waves, which everyone participated in.

When she finally emerged, the response was thunderous and as she started singing "i'm every Woman" I started to relax-she sounded fine and had bags of raw energy-. She also looked drop dead gorgeous.

She sang great improvised endings to DWAHIA, SAMLFY and WDBHG. The woman had real soul.

Before starting the gospel segment, Whitney told us about her faith and that when she tried to live without it, she messed up. She said she gospel, because it meant alot to her, appreciating that not everyone would feel this way.
There was an eerie silence as she started " I love the Lord" in immaculate voice. As she went higher and higher, the reserved crowd went ballistic!!, they then clapped her through " I go to the Rock"

Other highlights (apart from IWALY) was a great improvised version of "Nobody loves me like you Do", including a heavenly acapella exchange between Whitney and her singers.
The Diana Ross segment went down well with the crowd, whilst SxS was too short as BB carried her offstage(my attention was distracted by his appearance in the wings).
Also present were Cissy, Bobbi k (who danced on stage several times) plus a few other kids.
