Diva Shot

Posted by Dex on April 14, 1999:

IWALY:
Wonderful performance. She commanded the audience with her powerful instrument. VH1 did an excellent job of capturing the mood, by placing the camera behind her. One of the most memorable shots of the evening.

It's Not right but It's OK:
Full of energy and set the tone for her domination of the show

Ain't No Way:
Live R&B at its best. Two voices blending, sending shivers up my spine.

My Love Is Your Love:
Only Whitney could perform five totally different songs.

I'm Every Woman:
Greath performances

Overall impressions on 'Divas Live' Show:
A wonderfully diverse concert. Tina took charge and gave one of her best performances for the start. I felf sorry for the performer who followed her, but Cher eclipsed that by joining her onstage to sing "Proud Mary". Her solo efford was adequate. She lipsinced "Believe". The low point of the show was Elton's intrusion, and lenghty stay on stage.Brandy was "smokey". Faith Hill was different but no diva.
I was relieved to see Whitney finally. VH1 was smart in putting the headliners to start and close the show.
