POWERFUL. It has been so long since this can be said about a whitney performance, without someone argueing, but there can be no denying. Whitney prepared for this performance and delivered. I rolled off my bed when she sang ' ...AND IIIIIII '. I was literally moved!!
It's Not right but It's OK:
This song is not a real good song to perform live. Her voice didn't soung so good either. It was her first appearance and it made me worry. It looked good with the dancers, though.
Ain't No Way:
Loved it! Loved it! Mary J blige annoyed me. Just mostly did a loud raspy wail. It did not mesh with Whitney, but it was heartfelt, which made a difference. Whitney took the bridge, though.
My Love Is Your Love:
She has done better, but I liked it. Trench didn't do nearly as well as Wyclef would have. I loved seeing Bobbi Kris on the stage. She was very cute. Whitney does well with this song, live.As opposed to INRBIO.
I'm Every Woman:
Her voice held up very nicely, but Chaka was screaming raspily(sp?) the whole time. It drove me nuts. Whitney held it together nicely, as far as her vocals. I was very impressed.
Overall impressions on 'Divas Live' Show:
I thought Whitney looked good when she first came out. The red outfit showed just how in shape she is and her hair looked fine, not the best, but definitely not the worst. The next outfit was hideous. Why did she wear this, I'll never know. But her singing made up for any outfit mistake. The last outfit wasn't very good either, but better than the previous one.Overall I have alot more hope in the possibility that Whitney can completely recover her voice with more rest. She is the ultimate diva, no one even compared last night.
