I personally loved the show ! I thought she tried her best to save her voice to get her though the whole show, I have seen Whitney many times and I know that sometimes she starts out giving everything she has and by the last few song the voice can not live up to what Whitney wants to give . I realy think that she tried to pace herself so this would not be a dissapointment (AND IT WAS NOT!!) after giving so much at Fridays show she knew she really had to be careful so that she could get thru all of the songs . I really enjoyed the new songs now I have a new list of stuff I can listen to and add to my collection.submitted by: Anonymous Dross I totally agree with the "Disappointed Fan in the USA." Whitney's performance left a lot to be desired.submitted by: LaVon Lopez from Pikesville, MD Rachel, I just watched Sunday's show, I have cable but i don't have HBO.I had a friend of mine tape it.The first half of her show on Friday was better that the HBO.However, the last part of HBO was better than Friday. For the fan who wrote that Whitney's "deaf"reference was out of line.I don't agree. Here's the framework of what happened. She was singing the breakdown to I Love the Lord.We all know what happens when Whitney starts singing gospel. This is where she is literall moved. She was singing as she testified. She sang I can testify,a long time a go, I stuck something in my throat, it was a few inches from my vocalchords. They said that I would be speaking like this (she moved her hand to sign language) but God had other plans for me. He said child I want you to sing.Go tell of me,Go tell of my love all over the world.I am not ashame to say it. Don't be ashamed.I don't see anything wrong with any of that. She is very greatful to God and that was the mannerisms she used to express her story. I was so movedsubmitted by: Alton Pugh from Washington, DC I was at the Whitney concert on Friday night in Washington. Whitney Houston was fabulous she is a true diva of the 90's. I felt so bad when on HBO she lost her voice, she had cold., but i give her credit she was a real trooper. |
