It's Not Right, Nor Is It Okay

Review of the show:
I read the reviews from Friday's show on Saturday and was expecting a wondeful show, considering the money I paid for my tickets, $100 a piece. I was saddened to see that we were forced to sit behind the soundbooth, even though I was inline at 7:30. And was one of the first people in the arena. I was especially angry when frequent casino goers got much better seats than I got, when they don't even like Whitney and since the paid nothing for them.

The comic that opened up for Whitney was awful. The she started her show, late as usual but i didn't mind. From the start I knew something was not right, he voice was very rough, not smooth at all. Then when the big note was supposed to be sung in Get It Back, the opening song, Whitney tried to hit it, nothing can out and she switch to a different note. The other songs were all the same. Whitney did hit a few good notes, but they were few and far between. The crowd, well the Whitney fans in the crowded, cheered her on during her slightly long than one hour concert. She knew she was off, thanked the crowd for their support and that was the end.

While she did seem like she had much more emotion than I have ever seen her sing with before, without full use of her beautiful voice it was wasted. I love Whitney and her music but I was very disappointed.

Shame on Whitney for scheduling two shows on consecutive days when she knew she was prepared to sing both shows to her fullest, shame on Caesar's for cramming us into that ballroom so tight that we couldn't show Whitney our full support and shame on the people in attendance who mocked Whitney instead of supporting her. And finally shame on me for spending $200 and having a dreadful time, this will be the last Whitney concert I will go to.

Fool me once Whitney shame on you (Nov. 13th, 1998 at the Taj Mahal, an even worse concert), fool me twice shame on me.
