It was far from okay!Concert date: 01/7/00 Atlantic City
Review of the show: Well, I have to start off by telling you that I'm so glad that I didn't pay for my tickets. I was lucky enough to win a fully paid trip from Amsterdam to Atlantic City to see Whitney and that is about the only positive thing that I can mention. First of all, the guy from the record company shows up about half an hour late so I couldn't go to the fan meeting (sorry Lisa). When we finally got in at 9.45 pm Whitney had already started. Lucky for me that I only missed the first song, cause Whitney was late. Well, from one disappointment right into another: Whitney could not hit the high notes... she was hoarse and this was supposed to be my lucky day. NOT!!! And to top it all, one hour and less than 15 minutes later I stood outside. She sang her songs like she was in a hurry to go home or something. When she wasn't 'singing', she was talking about the same things she talked about last tour and the tour before that. She was saying the exact same things about her movies as she did last year. I'm tired of hearing that over and over again. The only positive thing was that she was in a good mood and tried to make the best out of it. The second half of the show was indeed better than the first, but I know she can do so much better. I don't know what to think. I have no idea what's going on with Whitney but she better get her act together 'cause things go really wrong. I'm glad I didn't pay for my ticket and I sincerely hope that Whitney gets her act together and give us the kind of stellar performances like we used to know and love, 'cause I'm sick and tired of having to hear from everyone that she's on dope and that all she does is screw up her performances (I feel like I have to defend her every time!). I know and I 've seen that she can give great concerts and it's time for her to show the world again why she's the best!!!
