Review of the show:
This has to have been the best vacation I've had in ages. Let me start off by stating that I wish I was able to meet all you guys( LisaD, Joe23, AlanM, Stavrone, etc) but things just didn't work out. But I did see me cousin so I was able to spend the weekend with her. But enough about that> That Monday around 5:30, I headed towards ticketmasters to pick up my ticket. There were already people standing in line. I joined them shortly after. I spoked with other Whitney fans ( Nick and his mom, Tanya and another young lady) for two hours. We were all excited about seeing Whitney especially Tonya( it was her first time). As 7:30 approached, they opened the doors and showed us to our seats. I had pretty good seats( right next to the guy who handled to lighting and sound) , but I wanted to get a much better view. So I tried to make my move to the front but unfortunately I got caught. Thank God the Maitre D didn't throw me out.

Now to the show. The comedian who opened for her was extremely dry. Enuff said!!! Then Whitney took center stage. OH MY GOD!! She was absolutely breathtaking. She came out wearing a beutiful red gown with a flowing train in the back. She opened with Get It Back, If I Told You That and Heartbreak Hotel(w/the Jacksons HH). She sounded so good, I couldn't even scream. I sat there with my mouth wide open for what seemed like forever. Not one note out of place. She was so confident that night. Then she took us back and told the audience about when she signed her contract. Then she stated " the year was 1985" she then sang Saving all my love for you. When she hit the phrase "No other man is gonna do" tears literally ran down my cheeks. I was blown away. Following SAMLFY was Until You Come Back(12:01 next Thursday, y'all)-Whitney is too funny. I Learned From The Best followed afterward(Perfect). Then she sang Step by Step and went off stage. Gary sang Change The World. Why this man doe not have a contract, is beyond me. The Man can sing!!!

Whitney then return center stage in a silver gown( once again, just absolutely gorgeous) she sang IWDWS/HWIK medley. One of my favorite parts of the show- She did her movie medley- She sat in her chair and had her water next to her. She blew each song to perfection. On HLH, she held one note soo long, she pulled the mic from her mouth and you still could hear her! Simply amazing!. Then she really had the audience on the ede of their seats!! When she sang I Will Alays Love You, her piano player played like he was in church.. Now you talk about a true performer. She teased us soooo bad towards the climax of the song. She told the two gentlemen who brought her chair and table to remove it because she was getting ready to blow. She then turned to Micheal Baker(musical director) Micheal messed up, and Whitney said "I'm not ready yet!!-too funny. She later introduced everyone on stage and someone named Milton who was offstage. She continued with the rest of the song as the lights were flashing all around her. At that time I was able to snap some pics in for myself. Hopefully they will come out. She left the stage, and came back to do her encore. The band started playing MLIYL. She said "wait one minute I have a little testimony to tell you" She then sang Blessed Assurance. The spirit was in there because it got pretty hot to me. Then she sang MLIYL. Bobbi was with her. On Bobbi's part ( Sing Mommy, we couldn't hear her. Once again, Whitney stopped her band , checked Bobbi's mic ( check one, check two did some gospel riffs-needless to say, the mic was sounding much better:-)) They continued with the song with the Who Dat ending. She ended with "THE RECORD IS NEVER OVER" I Loved it. Love it, Love it.It was wonderful. I have witness Whitney in concert three times prior to this. Each time she never ceases to amaze me I will never forget this vacation. Thanks for reading.
