Superstar Whitney Houston has caused a minor scandal by revealing that
she and fellow soul diva Mariah Carey recorded their parts separately
for the much-vaunted duet, entitled When You Believe, from the
forthcoming animated film The Prince of Egypt.
"I can't lie," Houston said, George Washington-style. "I wanted to record it
together but Mariah didn't really feel that way." Sounds catty but
Houston denies talk of a feud with Carey. "We're good friends, we
talk to each other, we like each other. It's a cool situation."
Houston's first solo album in seven years, My Love is Your Love, will
be released on November 17 featuring the duet, along with input from
Babyface, Lauryn Hill and Missy Elliott.
