PW Movie Review

I finally got the chance to see the Preacher's Wife and I loved it! Whitney was great especially when she was singing and she is looking alot more comfortable with her acting roles now. The cute little boy who played her son in the movie must also get some acknowledgement for his fine contribution. Denzel's part of an angel was lacking a fantasy link to it. They should of had him preform more miracles or use his special powers more often in the movie. And the whole part of his attraction to Whitney in the movie was dumb. He is supposed to be an angel sent to earth by God to help out the Preacher not to fall in love with his wife. Where was Penny Marshall's mind when they were coming up with his role in this movie? Anyway I shouldn't comment, I haven't seen the original (Bishop's wife) but I am curios to see it now.

Jenifer Lewis and Loretta Devine were also very good in this movie. No comment on Gregory Hines.

At the end of the movie while the credits were rolling they were playing Step by Step, but a version I was unfamiliar with. Could this be the version on the UK single? It sounded Hot! I love Whitney dearly but can only give this movie a 7 out of 10 and that's only because of the live music parts in the movie where Whitney sings "I Believe In You and Me" and when she sings a verse in "Who Could Imagine a King". The more I hear this song, the more I realize what a masterpeice.

GO WHITNEY, GO WHITNEY, GO WHITNEY!!!
