You sucker emcees should call Raven (Symone) sire! That's right, just when you thought that you had this entertainer pegged as a nonentity when it comes to getting kids to tune in, she goes and wrecks shop with her "Cheetah Girls" made for TV film. When it premiered last Friday it delivered 6.5 million Total Viewers and 3.8 million Households (4.6 rating). "The Cheetah Girls" was the #1 ranked basic cable telecast of the day in Households (4.6/3.8 million), Total Viewers (3.1/6.5 million), Kids 6-11 (12.8/2.4 million), Girls 6-11 (16.7/1.5 million), Boys 6-11 (9.1/874,000) and Tweens 9-14 (13.4/2.5 million). A highly anticipated day among the Disney Channel demographic, Friday was also the Disney Channel's highest Total Day ratings (6:00 a.m.-3:00 a.m.) ever with its target demographic of Kids 6-11 (4.1), Tweens 9-14 (3.8) and Male Tweens 9-14 (2.8). Oh yeah, for the Raven haters out there, know this. She's just been selected to play the lead in the remake of "Sparkle." That's riiight. More on that in tomorrow's EUR. The Starr Report By MICHAEL STARR 'Girls' went wild on Disney Channel Disney Channel's original movie, "The Cheetah Girls," helped lead the network to its highest-rated day in its history last Friday. The movie, starring Raven Symone, Sabrina Bryan, Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams, averaged 6.5 million viewers - the day's top-rated basic cable telecast. It also cleaned up across-the- board in Disney Channel's key demos (kids 6-11, girls 6-11, tweens 9-14).
