Whitney Houston at Tru Hollywood on Feb. 9, 2012 in Hollywood.

The toxicology report is in.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office has determined that Whitney Houston's official cause of death is: "drowning and effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."

The singer was found in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton Hotel room on Feb. 11, hours before a pre-Grammy party. She was 48.

The coroner's office also said the manner of death was an "accident."

However, the toxicology report adds that "Cocaine and metabolites were identified and were contributory to the death. Marijuana, Alprazolam (Xanax), Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) and Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) were identified but did not contribute to the death."

An autopsy was conducted the day after she died. Capt. John Kades of the Los Angeles County coroner's office said at the time there was no indications of foul play and no obvious signs of trauma on Houston's body. Prescription pill bottles were found in her room, but the number of pills were "not in alarming amounts," said officials.

Dionne Warwick said earlier this month she suspected her cousin died of a "heart attack."

Whitney Houston's official cause of death was due to accidental drowning, a source close to the investigation tells PEOPLE.

The singer, 48, was also found to have cocaine in her system at the time of her death, the source confirms. Contributing factors of her death included heart disease and cocaine use, an investigation found.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed the news Thursday after PEOPLE reported the findings. The report also found that Houston had marijuana, Benadryl and other medication in her system.

Houston was found unresponsive and underwater in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11, a day before the Grammy Awards, and was pronounced dead at the scene soon afterward.

Coroner officials previously confirmed that prescription pill bottles were found in her room, but the number of pills were "not in alarming amounts."

Houston, who had long battled drug addiction, was laid to rest on Feb. 19 at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J., alongside her father, following a star-studded memorial the day before.

=( Very sad. This has been such a tragedy. I am already emotional over other things going on in the news and this compounds it. It's just so surreal.

I may need to avoid the news for a few weeks. The armchair therapists were already too much for me and the coroner's findings will make listening to their ignorant babble overwhelming. I hate that they will try to reduce her talent and accomplishments to something sordid and substance-related.

I will always love her. Just because ppl have challenges doesn't change jack. Thank God ppl love me for my challenges. Even though it's not what I wanted to hear, it's the truth. And I know for sure she was the greatest singer to ever live. May the media now let her rest in peace, and not make it generational by leaving her daughter alone. Wow - time for a quiet moment.

My heart just breaks over and over.
I believed her when she said 'No more'. We all did.
But she was only human.
Let us all take solace in the fact that she is now free from her pain, worries and demons.
And in a better place.

One good thing - they said that alcohol did NOT contribute to her death. CNN is doing a good job this afternoon of dissecting the facts on this.

Lord why did she have to use cocaine that day??

Don Lemon on CNN said he spoke to an asst. coroner who said that she had a heart attack and went under the water and drowned.

They said on CNN that Bobbi Kristina was the next of kin and she was notified before the media was notified. So that's good - she didn't hear about it on the news, Twitter, etc. The coroner's office would not release Bobbi Kristina's reaction.

Dionne Warwick was right - she did have a heart attack. They could have a history of heart disease in the family.

Boy....I was hoping that drugs would NOT play a role in her death. I wish that were the case so all those people criticizing Whitney could shut the h*ll on up.

USA TODAY made direct quotes w/o editorializing the coroner's statements. This is not national enquirer type journalism. Again--direct quotations.

But I'm doin a media blackout again. I refuse to listen/read/watch the sensationalized aftermath right now.
