I'm still holding out a LOT of hope that it was something medical...so all the idiots out there will be silenced. I'm so sick of all the trash talking about Whitney.
Can someone clear this up for me?

The toxicology tests are routine in this type of situation. The L.A. coroner's office will not say anything until they get the lab results back and they have double checked everything. Even if they think it is a pulmonary embolism, they will see if there was any prior evidence or medical history to support the cause of death, or any contributing factors, or something that induced or increased the liklihood of her dying from such a cause. If she had been hit by a car, they would still run toxicology tests and wait for lab results to see if there were other factors that contributed to her getting hit.
So far, the coroner has said absolutely NOTHING about the cause of death. All we know for a fact is that there were no APPARENT signs of foul play, but even that is not inconsistent with something nefarious like a poisoning, so the cause of death could be anything at this point. The coroner probably has a good idea what happened; in fact he seemed to be trying to stop speculation in his news conference, but the L.A. coroner is not going to do anything precipitous and irresponsible in such a high-profile case. The media is just speculating irresponsibily, as usual.

I know that when Michael Jackson died, they at first suspected a pulmonary embolism.
So those are two reasons why this is on my mind. I guess I'm prepared for it to be prescription drugs/alcohol mixed but I don't want it to be that. I just don't. I know that people die from that all the time but this is Whitney and I wanted her to live to be 95.

It's also been reported that Whitney never actually got into the bathtub, apparently she collapsed while standing outside of the tub which caused her to be half in and half out (allegedly, according to The Insider).
But of course, there's about 5 different stories of what happened going around, we may never actually know the truth of how she was found, who found her, etc.

Actually, I think we will know because it is a high-profile death, the police were called and the coroner will have a report. Whether the media will bother to report the actual findings of the coroner and police, well, that is another matter.

As grimy and shady as TMZ is, I'm 99% sure they will be the ones to get those documents and reports... they always do.
Whether fans choose to read the details involved is up to them.

All I can say is I'm prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. The same family members or close friends who were selling Whitney out in life will sell her secrets out in death. For some reason, Whitney's family won't cut off the traitors, so even if the coroner and police don't reveal everything, the "source close to the family" will sell Whitney's last bit of privacy for some quick cash. There's nothing that can be done now but hope for the best. Uggghhhhhh! I wish Cissy would hire me. I would put the smackdown on those snitches so hard they'd cut their own tongues out. I cannot abide a traitor, and it pains me doubly because Whitney so loved those close to her that she would forgive them and let them continue to betray her. I am so worried about Krissy. I just hope she appreciate's that the only person she can truly trust is Cissy 'cause all Cissy wants is to be prepared to meet her savior with a clear conscience.
Wow! Where did that come from? In sum, we will hear the truth in the end, one way or the other.

The fact that many of Whitney’s friends said, “Oh, she was just in the club having a few glasses of champagne…” shows they don’t understand addiction. An addict can’t have a glass of champagne. Why have a glass when you can have a bottle or two? That’s how addiction works.
Two: Someone with known substance abuse problems should never have prescriptions for Xanax and Valium. There is actually no medial reason for anyone to have these two prescriptions.
At the end of the day, an addict has to want to make the change but it baffles me that Whitney’s team and family members would have allowed what happened in L.A. to go on.
As Kim Burrell sung, “No more flyin’ / No more rehearsals / No more cryin’ / No more drugs / A change has come”
May her soul find rest. We will never know Whitney’s pain—why she felt the need to escape with the help of substances. It’s not for us to know.
If you are struggling with addiction, please get help before someone has to make that terrible late night phone call that no one wants to receive.

I am prepared for the worst but hoping for the best as far as what these reports may end up revealing. My friend knows a woman that works for TMZ who said they had "hardcore" information about what was going on. I told him to keep me posted, but I don't believe in their style of reporting. They will make it sound like she was waiting for Bobby to come back into her life if it was a Xanax overdose while it could have been something like the hot bathwater the friend above suggested. They just have no substance to their reporting but take things at surface value....this woman said the autopsy made it very clear something was going on...and in frustrating fashion refused to tell my friend anything else. *whatever*

There are huge differences in the causes of addiction, depending on the person and the substance. Some addictions are physiological others are psychological, some addictions have genetic bases while others do not. Just because someone is addicted to one particular drug does not mean that one is addicted to alochol or even that one has a tendency to become addicted to alcohol. That is just a bunch of cap-trap spewed on television by lazy, irresponsible, paid "experts" who don't know much about the scientific bases of various forms of addiction, and who blindly repeat the crap they hear and read from other dubious "experts."
Every patient needs to be diagnosed by their own physician, who knows their history and physical condition, and can recommend the best course of treatment for the patient. No responsible physician would comment on the cause of a person's death, or their medical condition in the absence of any personal knowledge of the person's medical history. Anyone who suggests otherwise simply does not know what they are talking about.
So to bring it all home, you don't now jack about Whitney's medical condition, the cause of her death, the medical and scientific bases of her addiction, or whether she even liked anything more than a social drink to be polite. So with all due respect, why don't you just wait for the coroner's report before you conclude that she died from a drug binge brought on by a glass of champagne.
