Hi everybody!
Great to see Whitney STILL making history even she's no longer with us... bittersweet indeed...
I have a question though... Isn't it that The Preacher's Wife soundtrack is the best selling gospel album of all time? It is currently at #105 on the top 200 album chart but why is it not reflected on the gospel album chart? I believe it should be inside the top 10 of that chart.

I thought Whitney was the first female to debut at #1 with her album "Whitney." Does anyone have the answer to the question of who was first? Or is this record just for a single?
Then I saw an article saying Mariah had a record fifth "a record fifth consecutive chart-topper" http://www.news24by7...rst-female.html and, again, I am wondering if someone can clarify. I thought the record was 7 #1s. And MJ's 5 consecutive from a single album. What is the story behind this record? Anyone know?

I'm wondering if they were talking about singles. Mariah doesn't have a "Fantasy" album. That single comes from the Daydream album. "Whitney" was the first album by a female artist to enter the Billboard charts at #1. Regarding a record fifth consecutive chart-topper, that's creative journalism. It was a record for Mariah Carey, but not THE record. Whitney still holds her 7 consecutive #1's record.

Whitney was the 1st female to debut at #1 with her album "WHITNEY"
Mariah was the 1st female to debut at #1 with the single - Fantasy
And I think what they are saying about Mariah's 5 consecutive number 1s as a record is that her 1st five consecutive singles all went to number 1. On the other hand, Whitney's record holds the record for most consecutive #1s although Whitney's 7 consecutive #1s are not her 1st 7 consecutive singles. Her 1st single -You give good, love did not top the billboard hot 100.
