Love is what we make it
We can make it something lovely
So don't desert me
Instead, learn to trust me
And love is what we make it
So let's make it, love

Kelly Clarkson & Tamyra Gray - Exhale

I take back what I said about Kelly (about her tweets during Whitney's funeral). Better late than never. This was a great tribute, but it's performances like this that shows why no one in this world will ever replace or even come close to Whitney. Not even Kelly & Tamyra.

Jordin Sparks on Whitney
The moment she was told her idol Whitney Houston had died, Jordin Sparks broke down, locked herself in her hotel room and "cried non-stop," a source tells PEOPLE.

But the American Idol winner, 22, kept her tears to a minimum on Thursday afternoon while paying tribute to the late singer at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Speaking briefly about shooting the upcoming film Sparkle with Houston, Sparks grinned and told the room, which was packed with Oscar contenders and others who included Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Paula Patton, Pam Grier and Kerry Washington: "The first day she got [to the set] she's scolding me, and I'm thinking this is the best day ever. She went from being this unreachable supernova pop star to my costar, friend and someone who was like a mentor to me. It was a gift and an honor to play opposite Whitney Houston in the film."

Besides her brief speech, Sparks also performed "Look into Your Heart," a song from Sparkle.

"When you see Sparkle, you will be so happy to see the joy that is on her face," Sparks said about Houston. "Everyday started with Whitney saying, 'How are my babies doing? Are you guys good? God is good.' It translates on the screen."

Jordin Sparks On Whitney Houston: 'She Was An Incredible Woman'

“I was already going to do it and sing a song from the movie and everything like that and then all recent events happened, and now I’m going to be singing a song that she actually sang, but is also in the movie, from the original, it’s called ‘Look Into Your Heart,’” Jordin explained to Access. “She was a part of the Curtis Mayfield tribute album. She actually sang [an] amazing version, so I’m going to do my own little version too.”

So, this is new right? I thought she only recorded Celebrate and His Eye...

Wasn't sure where to put this and it's probably well known by now but CNN Headline News announced this morning that the Oscars will be paying tribute to Whitney on Sunday's broadcast. Whether it's a special tribute to Whitney or if she will be included in the portion of the program along with all the other actors/actresses and people in the business who passed prior to the broadcast, I have no idea. I guess we'll have to tune-in to see.

Beautiful words...a few ppl I don't know, though...

See? I just love when people like Paula Patton from 0.37 and Kerry Washington 2.00 say they never got to meet her, but look how it touched them.

Look into Your Heart is probably my face track of hers not on an album she's credited for or WTE. She sang that song hard like nobody's bizness. Wish it was on IYBT.

I'm sorry, but I just feel it is completely irresponsible for people to insinuate that Whitney's death was the result of drugs or some other thing she did wrong in her life. Nobody knows what happened yet. There has been a lot of talk about her last days, but no video of any alleged eratic behavior, which speaks volumes in this cell phone world in which we live. Maybe Whitney did have a setback at the end, but right now, this is all pure speculation and it's no better than the lies and inuendo that hounded Whitney in her life, and which I think are also responsible for the unhappiness that Whitney felt at times. I love Ellen, but she is not stupid; she should know better.

There are so many good things that can be said about Whitney and her life and talent, why is it so difficult for people to hold their tongues with the negatives until we know for sure?

I'm over Ellen. She was shady when diddy made his comments on being sad she was full of life etc... Ellen was COLD to me.

With Ellen its not necessarily that she said a whole lot negative. It was her demeanor. It was subtle. She seemed po'd that Diddy said so much positive & with Randy she was just COLD. And I know she's capable of better because she was so so caring when she interviewed MJ's daughter. Its hard to explain but she was throwing deep shade & I will no longer dvr her show.
