I've never seen/heard anything about this, so I could be wrong, but I'll take a stab at it.

This DOES seem like it is indeed the Stellars. I watch 'em every year. If so, then it was more than likely held in January, MAYBE February. Now, looking at WH's hair, and putting it all together, I'd say it was January, 1991. That's the best I can do.

Lord, I thought y'all had seen this. Jace was spot on with the date. But how it sets up before what you see, is Bebe and CeCe come out to present an award to Cissy and do their stage banter and have "forgotten" the award. They keep asking each other who has the award, then from backstage you hear Whitney say, "*I* got the award!" and she walks out holding it, the crowd going wild. She talks a little about Cissy and Cissy comes up and accepts and goes into "Peace in the Valley." That's it. :-)

Whitney's voice is just monstrous. Wow. I have never made myself watch this whole video. Christ. What a voice. This is probably one of her best high vocaled sustained vocal performances of all time. WOW.
