Mariah Carey debuts at #1 in Japan
Japan, the first country to release Mariah Carey's 'Glitter' album has scored a number 1 debut.

The album was released Aug 18 in Japan, the original scheduled release date before Mariah had her nervous breakdown last month.

The USA and Canada have delayed release of the album mid September but Japan went with the original date and Australians will find it in store from August 27.

But back to Mariah I think her new album is going to do very well she has a huge fan base. I do think its going to do very well overseas but it maybe not as good here in the US, it will sale good here but not like her previous albums did.

I think it is no surprise that Mariah debut at #1 in Japan. Her albums traditionally do superb there.
