Can anyone name me Junk food or deserts, etc. that are good for health (or at least not bad).

For example, the typical things we buy are patatoe chips, cookies, donuts, etc. But all of them (even though they taste great) are full of fat, and bascially are not good for health. Is there other food that tastes GREAT but are at the same time not bad for health?

For example, an idea for a healthy desert would be "Fruit Yogurt" & "Fruit salad". Also instead of patatoe chips, things like peanuts might be more healthy. These are just a few examples, but if someone has other ideas please share...

(I just watched a tv show that basically talked about how the junk food we normally buy are very bad for health, so I am trying to see what better ideas there is to replace them.... What are the "good junk food" that still taste great?

And yes, I posted something not related to Whitney, you guys are not imagining things. B)

no junk food thats in a bag or plastic bottle is good for you....most of them contain refine sugars and corn syrup plus tons of additives.....Fresh fruit in place of dried fruit is better for you....water in place of soda is better for you....

Yes, Angel Food Cake......yogurt in moderation......peanuts are good...but very high in fat....

Fresh fruits are a great alternative...especially ones that are deeper in colors....like dark red grapes, strawberry's, cherry....these are all good for you and have antioxidents that are know to fight certain types of cancer.......On to the NUTS..... majority of the nuts are good for you....but your actually only allowed a hand full because of the high fat contents....in addition if there like cooked in Honey or dipped in chocolate it looses the nutritional value....

There are no good junk food....thats why they call it junk food........

I'm searching for low cal snack foods myself. What I've found so far:

pickles
jello (sugar free)
cheerios
popcorn (w/o all the butter and other seasonings)

sugar free candy (this is only a guess)

low salt saltine crackers (I don't think these have many calories either)

Besides fruits and vegatables, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there.

Pickles are low fat...but contains a high amount of sodium which increases the blood preasure.....

jello (sugar free)
cheerios

Excellent choices for great snacks.....

popcorn (w/o all the butter and other seasonings)

This is true only if its air popped...not cooked in oils or butters....can have a tendacy to be very bland...unless you spice it up with ms. dash or cayenne pepper or even hotsauce.........

Not many calories...but made from bleached flower that can triger insulin reactions that would lead to more hunger.....

Wheat Thins are a better alternative........

Has anyone seen that "Supersize Me" documentary... if not, I recommend it... it will make you never want fast food again.
