"If the voice is a musical instrument, here is a Stradivarius."
- Time magazine -
That Stradivarius is playing its sweet notes in Heaven now.
I will love you for the rest of my days and beyond.
You are free.

How does one choose?
I love her vulnerability through the bravado in The Bodyguard, and the chemistry with Costner;
WTE, she OWNED that role and, again, sold the vulnerability; it is impossible to think of Savannah being anyone but Whitney;
TPW, when she's ice skating with Denzel and falling in love and then comes back and mama sees all; this performance is so subtle; amazing, but you can see and feel Whitney falling in love, even more than Denzel falling for her (who'd a thunk anyone would ever have cause to say Whitney Houston out-acted Denzel Washington;
Cinderella, she just has a ball with this role and it leaps from the screen. I love when they sing Impossible.
I have been looking at this thread for ages it seems and never opened it because it is a near impossible question to answer. Oh, and what about Nora's Hair Salon. I never saw that movie, but I've watched Whitney's bit a thousand times, and I crack up every time. She was a real comedian. "Whaz in this chit?" "Ha! Gurl, I left the first act on stage." "Now hook a sista up!" Can I vote for Nora's Hair Salon? Just writing these lines, I can see Whitney's facial expressions and I am cracking myself up.
O.k. I've narrowed the serious chooices down to The Bodyguard, WTE and TPW. I'll have to ruminate on this a bit more before I vote. This is harder than a physics final.

Ever try making a top 10 favorite live performances list? That's torcher. At one point, I was banging my head on the desk. Literally.

I can't imagine a top 10 live. What would you leave out? How about top 5? Start another poll.

I love the respect he has for Whitney and Kevin. Imagine spending 2 months with her and her, in a way, replacing your mom, taking care of you. She just loved people and cared for them. That's something you don't encounter often, especially when you're talking about celebrities and divas.
