It's not even about all that for me. He was also the one, whenever she was in town, taking her to clubs that just so happened to have paps around and alcohol. Yes, she is a grown woman but if you cared about her recovery a club would be the last thing on your mind. He's no different than BB, an opportunist.
Oh, and Whitney looked the same happy when he wasn't around and she was just with her daughter or other friends.

Whitney's Goddaughter (Brandi Burnside) talks about Whitney in depth

Wow.

yeeeaaaaahhhhh I saw that lastnight in the gym as well as Bobby's dumb ugly BLEEP sister Leloah on ET...just a mess

Yea, but is anyone buying that Ray J deeply in love thing? Didn't Krissy say there was nothing romantic with Ray J? Or am I confusing that. From seeing them together, I just did not get the romantic attraction thing between Whitney and Ray J (you did see that when when she was with Bobby (to each his own). I am wondering how close Whiteny really was to this goddaughter in the last few years. I don't know, I am 100% with what she said about the press, it's what any real fan of Whitney's would unload on the press if given a chance, but this Ray J love talk does not feel right to me. I mean I just can't see Whitney, at 48 and where she seemed to be at peace and in a good place, sleeping with the same man who's sole claim to fame is a sex-tape with, shallow, trashya$$ Kim Kardashian. Call me naieve, but I'm not buying the whole of the goddaughter's story just yet.

Why does anyone get to judge?? Did you meet them, did you hang out with them, spend time with them individually or together NO! You are judging Whitney on who you believe she was and judging Ray based on one tape and who the media tells you he is.

This is the very thing Brandi was talking about stop judging! Once and for all

And to be honest Other than being with Krissy of course, Whitney always, always looked beyond happy when she was with Ray J. And I have always said this....If he brought her any amount of happiness and pure Joy then THANK GOD FOR HIM!

Their age has nothing to do with it, who his sister is has nothing to do with it. Who his prior girlfriend was has nothing to do with it. If those to people found a common bound and were happy then why can't it just be that. It doesn't/ didn't need anyone's approval... not then and surely not now!

Actuallly, I have no idea if Whitney was with Ray J romantically, or not. I thought Krissy said no, but I am not certain. However, it is possible for people to enjoy one another's company without being romantically involved. I for one have a few of male hounddog friends with whom I am very close, and if you filmed us together, we would probably be seen having even more of a blast than Whitney and Ray J in any of their photos, so, if anyone cared, they could speculate on a romantic relationship. So, yes, one can't tell just from photos. However, the point I was making is that I am not feeling the goddaughter's account of Whitney's and Ray J's relationship. Something seems odd to me about her goddaughter going there and it makes me wonder how close they were in the last few years and what the motivation was (even moreso if Krissy's observation was different).

As for Ray J and whether he brought Whitney happiness, I hope he did. I also hope he supported her in her fight for sobriety, and in her efforts to rebuild her career, as any good friend would, romantic involvement or not. However, as much as I hope Ray Jr bought Whitney happiness and support, it does not change the fact that I personally did not get a romantic vibe from watching them together. I could be wrong, but that's my opinion. I did not state my opinion as fact, so no need to get upset about it. Time will tell. Even when ordinary folks die, everything comes to light, and it will too with Whitney, whether we fans like it or not.

But to address your larger point the idea of "judging" Ray J, I have no poblem with that because he put himself out in the public in a sex tape (I don't believe for a minute it was not an orchetrated leak) with his "girlfriend," which is a sleezy, trashy, classless thing to do. Obviously there will be some who support the "anything to achieve a soundbite" mentality, but I am not one of those people (and neither was Whitney from what she has said over the years). I think it is low class, but I'm sure Ray J is not bothered by my opinion because he achieved his objective. Do I judge Whitney for the shortcomings of her friends or lovers? I do not. As Whitney said, "love is where you find it." Do I wish Whitney did not surround herself with the kind of folks who manufacture publicity by selling themselves in sex tapes? Well, yes, I do, because Whitney had more class than that, and, untimately, it is clear that Whitney's heart was often broken and betrayed by undeserving people who she neverthless loved dearly. So, yes I wish Whitney had surrounded herself all along with people who not only gave her happiness in the moment, but also, cherished her, nourished her, supported her, kept her safe from things that would harm her emotionally and and physically, and told her every day how special she was and demonstrated to her by their actions how much she was loved.

I got a little heated in my last post but I too think they were only friends and that he cared for her, however he was using the ambiguity of their relationship for publicity. Bobbi Kristina did deny that it was a romantic relationship and so did he just a couple of months ago, not to mention he had a girlfriend not to long ago too.

We need to stop the judging Ray J nonsense because this is the same thing the media often did with Whitney. When she was having fun, they thought she was high just going off of history; after seeing and hearing about Ray J's reaction to her death up until her funeral, i'm pretty sure there was a genuine love there... not saying a romantic love, but just love. Also, why is everyone going by what some God daughter we've never heard of has to say suddenly??

I don't understand what the goddaughter was doing with the Ray J thing, or why she decided to go there in the first place. That's what some of us are trying to figure out. I don't think anyone is accepting what she said without reservation, we are just scratching our heads, so to speak.

As for Ray J, he may have loved Whitney, I certainly hope he did, but that does not mean that he did not do things that were dangerous for her and her recovery. And, the funeral breakdown doesn't move me at all; it's the same thing BBB did, trying to make statement for the cameras. That's just who Ray J is. Whitney may have loved him, but that doesn't change the fact that he is a no-talent, publicity whore. I will always believe that he is the one who continually called out the paps to hound Whitney, all to get publicity for himself. Whitney may have been cool with it, but he should never have pushed that on her given the way the press savaged her every move. That was irresponsible. Just my opinion, but I'm calling it the way I see it.

SMH at all the hating at Ray J... I said it before and I will say it again: WE SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

And don't even come and defend yourselves because you don't know. You don't know!

(and btw there is no word about a romance. the girl only mentions a loving relationship. and that comes in many forms...)

Did anyone see Mary cohosting the View? I'm kind of annoyed with her, too. People need to get off the circuit making assumptions and FUELING the negativitiy before there's any truth out there. It was this kind of assumptions and negativity that hurt her...so annoyed...

So true. But I was cackling at her uncomfortable & unsuccessful attempt to co-host. She always manages to look annoyed bored or uneducated in those situations. Same with her guesting on Live W/ Kelly.

Regarding Whitney: I tune out peep like her. Gladys Knight & Celine too. It's not worth it cuz none of them are all that bright.

Looove that song!

And I wonder if her new album title is really a reference to Whitney as well as her birthday. She did retweet a fan message saying just that but has she confirmed it?
