Yeah my first reaction was "that was it"? It was a great performance, but I was just hoping they would talk about her contribution to gospel music.
- Biggest selling gospel album of all time
- The only mainstream pop singer / global superstar who sings gospel
- First performance at a church, final performance singing Jesus Loves Me, final televised performance I Look To You, final recorded song His Eye Is On The Sparrow
Whitney has done more for gospel music than many gospel singers. How many global superstars other than Whitney actually sing gospel music during every concert? None actually. I mean this is a global superstar who has sung gospel music in every country she's ever been to, who insisted that people bear with her as she sings ILTL in Asia and actually preached about her love for the Lord in a Muslim country. Not to mention introducing gospel music to millions of fans (myself included) who would otherwise never listen to gospel music.

I was definitely disappointed... we could've at least gotten a medley, and for the opening maybe a little video montage of Whitney performing some gospel songs. I felt like this was an obligatory thing they felt like they should do, they threw a little effort into it and kept on going.

Exactly, THIS! I felt like they could have done so much more.
On a side note - Blazinice, how are things going? Grandfathers are truly special people so I have been thinking of you and wishing you well.
Peace & Love

Thanks for thinking of me, I'm doing my best to keep it all together. He's not doing great but his strength and determination still continues to amaze me.
