Hey Guys, I'm new.
I been a whitney fan since forever!!
The lady is my Idol and the reason why I sing.
I would go on a rant about how she means to me but I'm still sadden and taken back by her passing. :sorry:

I made this topic because I Know we all love the song IWLY, but out of the 487649634 times Whitney sang this song, LOL, :giggle:
What performance sticks out in your Mind? What performance is your Favorite?.

I have too many but I Love this One.

She would Just sing the 1st two words and the crowd would go into a frenzy.

Interesting topic because she sang this song a million times and never the same twice. I actually love lots of her later performances, especially ones from NBL Tour where she is just reflecting, singing, and taking her time. All the memories are wrapped into that one song. My favorite is probably the movie version. Before Whitney died, I would probably have ranked lots of perfromances from the bodyguard tour in second place, but now, those NBL Tour performances just scream "bittersweet memories" to me. I love every time she took the mike and sang on that tour. That was all for the fans. Every time she sang that song on the NBL Tour, it was for the fans and I love her for that.

For me it would be from 1996 at the BET Honors. I can't seem to find the video. The vulnerability in her voice just makes me connect with that performance so well. I think she might of recently had a miscarriage before that performance which adds high emotion to that song.

I wish the uploaded hadnt taken down the BET 1996 performance. Why?

the Grammys would have been the best had she not misjudged one note in the first chorus.

The South Africa Version is great. But for me the Poland version and definetley the Divas Live version from 1999 are the ones that i will allways love most. She might not always sung the notes strained correctly like on the disc but that is for what i have always loved her. She had the ability to give song that special essence by doing great runs and certain adlibs.
And my good Lord was she not hot at Divas Live

for me its divas 99. I know there are tons that are technically better but there is something about the soul & the emotion that night & the way she played with those notes...it will forever be my favorite performance of that song...though I refuse to listen to it anymore lol

Love is what we make it
We can make it something lovely
So don't desert me
Instead, learn to trust me
And love is what we make it
So let's make it, love

This has got to be one of my favorite performances. I love everything about her here, her look, her confidence, her power. I am in love with that moment before the climax (starts around 5:48)! The way she teased the audience, that smile, that sheer confidence because she knew she was gonna kill it, the way the whole audience stood up in expectation, the signal to the band with her arm and then that...Perfection. She was just so elegant and ladylike that night, I can't explain it.

I'm just sorry I'm not brave enough to watch it with sound, I just watched the whole thing on mute.

Searching for my favorite,I just found the best video qaulity of it EVER! It was just uploaded after her passing. Go figure. SMDH

Rainforest Benefit in 1994 hands down for me is my favorite. Her voice was vocal bliss that night. She was just so on fire. I do agree with many of the posts so far in this thread because it's not ALWAYS just the voice, but since it's this song for me, it has to be about the vocals and she is just the definition of a true diva right here.

Thank You Guys!
All those performances are amazing!.

I Agree that when Whitney sang "IWALY" she never sang it the same..
All the perfomances of that song are Iconic.

The way she would smile and take her time before the "AND I!!" part was just Incredible.

Whitney Knew she was Bad.

No one can wear a pants suite quite like Whitney Houston.
