When you say book, are you referring to hardcover books, or the softcover tribute magazines that People and Life have already released? The softcovers are available at Barnes & Noble.

Lisa are the soft cover that we purchased in the store and the book we see on Amazon that is coming out in March the same thing? They have the same cover...

WHAT HAPPENED TO EBONY,UPSCALE,ESSENCE AND VIBE?

So, maybe I am rushing things a little (meaning they may be out next month) but "Jet" has already had a tribute magazine for her. Whitney partcipated in many award ceremonies, was honored by these magazines, featured numerous times on their covers and they haven't had the respect to feature her in their issues, or have a fair well tribute for her. I thought for sure, they would show respect to a woman that sold them many copies over the years. I am very disapointed with them, especially if they didn't recogonize someone who was a trail blazzer in the African American Community.

I believe the People hardcover will be exactly the same as the softcover. The Amazon listing says it's 95 pages, and the softcover is also 95 pages. The hardcover is $19.95 and the softcover is $11.99.

I'll have to go to Barnes and Noble today and look again. The only softcover I saw there when I went last week was the pic they used from the ILTY era. Not the one from the IYBT era and that's the one I want.

No they are right I got the PEOPLE tribute issue and it looks just like what is described on Amazon, and as for hardcover the cover is cardstock but its not a book in the sense of being a hard cover book. I will still buy the hard cover if the binding is different.

Does anyone know where to get magazine covers?? I want to preserve these magazines

Magazines should be stored in acid free clear bags, one per bag. I've used bags from B&H, but they don't seal. I'd suggest buying larger bags (bigger than 8.5x11in.) so it's easier to fold over the excess plastic. They usually come in packs of 100 and are not expensive. I have a lot of Whitney magazines, so it was worth doing it.

Can someone plzzzz upload a photo of the LIFE magazine...and where they got it.
feel free to email me: musicjunky415@aol

I just emailed you a picture (cannot figure out how to upload pics here). I purchased the magazine at Wal-mart.

Really appreciate you taking the time to get back to me Jenn and replying back. Found out online that the PEOPLE book is coming out on March 27, as far as the LIFE mag/book no word on it and can't find it at any retailers here in San Fran.

I don't know if its necessarily considered a hardcover book or softcover mag....that was just from what I read online...BUT I seen it at the Costco today!!! and then went to B&N and they had em! So I have 2 now....

Yupp, I got mine at B&N...the quality of the People tribute is a lot better compared to the mags...Great photos in it as well.

Now I just need to get my hands on the LIFE magazine...

Why the title? The Diva and Her Dark Side. Why do they have to put something like that?

They think that is what sells, I was going to buy one they did of Michael Jackson until I found out it was bunch of speculation inside it. I really just buy these magazines for the pictures, the articels usually include stuff I already know or rumors and such. The Life Magazine one is really nice.
