I thought it was amazing! Such a great job all around the acting and singing and sets and wardrobe was so on point! I expected it to be a good movie but not at all the masterpiece that it really is. I cried getting out of my car walking to the theater had to stop in the ladies room and cry before going inside the theater and when they turned the lights out to start the previews I was crying again! I am going again with my family on Sunday. I went alone today to cry the way I wanted to cry and sigh and all without my family watching to see if I was gonna have a nervous breakdown lol. I am so at a loss for words on how much I truly enjoyed this film. I literally have not seen a movie this good in such a long time. Whitney was so breathtakinly beautiful and did such a great job portraying her character, she was so believable. The cast as a whole did such an amazing job! All I can say is WOW! I guess I wasnt really at a loss for words lmbo.

I was pleased with the movie, I saw a different side of Whitney in this drama. I think it had to do with the character that she played her acting felt so real or came across as being real, it was powerful. I was so sad when she was doing that church scene that we all know about singing HEIOTS brought tears to my eyes. The other actors did a real great job as well. I was impressed with the movie overall and would definitely go back to see it again. We love you Whitney wish you were around to see your work finally on the big screen.

Ok, I just got back from seeing this movie with my family, and this movie is such a masterpiece. It had everything I love in a movie, great cast, good plot,Parts got me sad, happy, mad, excited, long enough to keep you interested, but not drug on too long, great music, and of course the cherry to top it off, Whitney.

I especially enjoyed the songs, now I have yet to see the original, and the fact that I can't remember who said it, but someone said they did something different in this one than from the original, so now since curiosity has me, I have to watch the original now.

I haven't been this excited for a movie in a long time, besides the Tyler Perry movies, but I must say I was impressed and want to see it a dozen more times now. So anyways I will not say anymore out of respect for the ones that have yet to see this, I say this again, masterpiece.

NBL to you all

I just got back home from seeing it (yea i know its 1:37am lol) and all i can say is ENCORE!!! Altho the movie didnt center around Whitney, she sure as hell brought it and delivered!! I truly believe that life prepared her for this movie and she nailed it naturally. She looked soooooo beautiful and all i could wonder is "damn.... but God was ready for her".

The other cast members shut it down as well, the move was great. Jordan did her thing, Tika, Carmen, Mike Epps, Omar, Dereck, all of them did their thing. The theater wasnt packed but considering it had just stormed, it was still a nice turn out.

Great job Whitney... thank you for this gift you left us with.

Ohk guys! I think y'all should also rate Sparkle here on IMDB. It's got 4.3 out of 10 with 5 votes, let's make it 10. Alot of people take reference from this site.

Hehe, it'll never be 10 but I admire your optimism ;)

What I would like to know is: we've seen quite some footage in the trailer and the video for Celebrate. Are there any scenes in the film that we didn't already see a part of?

I think the movie is getting decent reviews. Even something like 5/10 is fine. I was afraid the movie was going to get trashed because you know how the pro critics are but it's ok. Besides I've read nothing but praises for Whitney's part in it

There were some scenes from the trailers that didnt show in the movie... for example with part where she's watching her young self on the tv

Really? Wow, that seemed like such an intense scene...

And the other way around? New scenes that weren't in the trailer? I think not, ey?
