Does anyone know how long cocaine stays in your system? It doesn't mean she used that day or that night. She could have used back home in ATL and it was still in her system.

3 - 4 days if memory serves

I just don't think there are any more pieces that my heart can break into. Like I said before this wouldn't change a thing... My Whitney is still gone. I love her more than words can say and my love is unconditional.

This in every way!

Did Whitney drown or die from heart disease? She didn't die from both.

Actually she did she had a heart attack, lost consciousness and drowned. So in a way she died from both. Had she not been in the tub she could have possibly survived the heart attack had she been found in time.

That's the thing, if there had been someone to hear her collapse, she might have survived. But it was not to be.

And she had been in LA for about 3-4 days prior to death. Now I have alot of questions. Who sold her the drugs? Where they did come from? Did Pat know she was using during the stay? Did Mary know she was using prior to her leaving the room? Who removed the drugs from the room before the cops came? It had to have been someone who knew to know exactly where the stash was and to remove it in the few minutes between finding her and the police showing up.

Take me far away from the battle
I need you to shine on me

Rest in Peace my Queen
I will always love you

The media are having a party tonight. They got exactly what they wanted.
I'll be staying away from the news reports etc
Not looking forward to the "know it alls" who were just salivating at the chance to say "I told ya so"
Ugh, so sad and depressing all over again

I am so deeply saddened that she lost her battle. It is so painful remembering her last concert in berlin where the audience booed her. She, of course did the complete show professionally, but honestly: who in the world can handle such devastating negativity? At that concert in 2010 I felt so sorry for her, because she gave her best, but itt wasnt enough for the the people.they wanted the 80ies whitney. It was so painful.shes must have felt so bad.
I really thought she was sober, but I know, I could never take that kind of pressure, expactations etc like she had to, afterer loosing your defining instrument: your incomparable voice. I guess Im so sad because I really really did believe she overcome her demons. Still got NBL for my nippy

Terrence, they just had a guy on CNN that said that cocaine exits your system very quickly, within minutes.

Cocaine can stay in one's system for for days or as much as a week, and the byproducts can be evident even after months. What is interesting to me is that there was cocaine, but not much marijuana in Whitney's system, given Whitney's preferred method of ingesting cocaine. She would level off the effects of the coke with the marijuana usually, but, apparently, in this case, she did not. Makes me wonder if this was a one-off thing, where someone gave her some stuff which she used, but was not used to, and she misjudged the effects. Also makes me wonder what happened to the bag, or container which would have held the cocaine.... Did she injest the cocaine elsewhere, get ready to bath and then have a heart attack? Or did she injest in her room, leave, throw away the containers, and then go take a bath? What happened to the containers for the cocaine? Lots of questions.

It is definatly sad to hear that there was drugs in her system, but someone had to have known, and someone had to have sold them to her. I have the same questions now as Terrence. This doesn't change the way I feel about Whitney, but it was definatly a shock. Whoever the person is who knew about it and sold it to her should really be ashamed and should be asking for some forgiveness!!!!!!!!

After today, I will not talk about this issue anymore, I am going to continue to remember Whitney the way I saw her and that was an amazing woman, singer, actress, philantropist, mother, daughter and person. She will continue to be "the VOICE"/legend/icon in my eyes from now until forever!!!!!! We all should remember her the way that we see her, and not let anyone or anything ruin that for us.

I think it is also a good thing to know that she is at peace, that she doesn't have to "fight the little guy off of her shoulder" anymore, and for me I can find some peace in that too !!!!

So the combination of cocaine use and heart disease caused her to have a cardiac arrest, resulting in loss of conciousness and submerging in the water, resulting in drowning???

It's very tragic that goes without saying.
