Well, I was doing great until I saw an article on the New York Post. I don't know why I even bother reading that stuff, I guess I hope to find something good as if I don't know the media and their ways. I just wish they would leave her alone already. Can't they just move on?

I've been doing so well, but tonight I was thinking. I was thinking about how much I appreciate the members on this board and the friends I have made here. I thought about how grateful I am for the board. But I also thought about how I didn't think we would've had to deal with Whitney's passing any time soon. I know, who am I to say when death will come, but I just thought it wouldn't be so soon and we wouldn't have had to go through this. But now that it has happened, and even though we are still in the grieving process as it nears 2 months already, even though it seems like yesterday, I wouldn't be able to be this far if it wasn't for you all. Thank you.

A couple of days before Whitney died I was thinking about how I couldn't believe Michael Jackson had died- and that happened nearly three years ago. I think this will be a shock for a long time.

I remember reading the boards here just before Whitney died- it was the usual thing- people talking about new photos, the pre-Grammy stuff, like we always do. There will always be a lack of closure or a feeling of something missing or wrong because of the sudden nature of Whitney's death.

What got me was, the fans on twitter were planning on getting her name trending on Feb. 11 as like #topdivawhitneyhouston #whitneyhouston or something like that, because of the party and what not. I got notifications and mentions all day that said when we were going to start tweeting about her. I got out of work, started tweeting and then the news broke. It's so weird that everyone had planned on getting her name trending, then once it was trending, it was something none of us wanted to believe.

I totally agree. You all know how insensitive some of the people around me were/are about this, so it means the world to have all of you. <3

Last night was going to change my Twitter pic to a new one with me and my god-kids, and I just couldn't do it. I couldn't bare to have it not be a Whitney pic. maybe that's silly but it just didn't feel right.

I made a twitter account for that reason, I made it like 2 hours before she passed. I voted for her on that VH1 list for the greatest of all time (what happened with that?) and was waiting for the trending thing to start. Well, she definitely trended. We got what we wanted at the most terrible price.

Yeah i remember being notified on facebook too about making Whitney trend on twitter, while i was looking the great pictures & the performance of "JLM" on the Kelly Price Party... it's was just crazy, so hard to believe, cause i felt like i just saw her and she look great how could this be possible?

btw, Petra the list was published and Whitney was at No. 6!! Here's the top ten..

10. P!nk
09. Mary J. Blige
08. Christina Aguilera
07. Janet Jackson
06. Whitney Houston
05. Adele
04. Lady Gaga
03. Beyoncé
02. Mariah Carey
01. Madonna

Complete list here: http://www.bsckids.c...women-in-music/

Obviously, this list is a joke!! i mean how can Adele (that only release 2 albums and only "21" was big), Lady gaga & Beyonce being higher than Whitney??? and artist like Celine (i'm not her biggest fan but c'mon she deserves a spot on the top 10) are listed at #21.

I thought I was done grieving....NOPE!! Just had a real BAD breakdown a couple of hours ago. I love and miss Whitney with all my heart. My love for her went beyond "the artist"...I truly loved her as a human being and believe in my heart we would have been good friends. I sometimes believe that we "die-hard" fans would've been a better support system for Whitney than those actually close to her. UGH! :-(

LMAO, obviously a joke! I guess it was expected. I remember watching all those names and going "What on earth is she or she or she great for?" And we stopped voting after the news broke out so I guess it's fine.

If I could go back to that night. Testing out this weird twitter thing (kinda felt like Whitney discovering new technologies LOL), waiting for the trending to start and fighting Mariah fans on that list. In a matter of just a few hours my whole world collapsed.

I just saw a fb status of a friend...she had a quote from A Walk to Remember. I can't help think of Whitney when I read it...

"Maybe God has a bigger plan for me than I had for myself."

It's been exactly 2 months and I still don't see an end to this sorrow. I guess some of it will stay in my heart forever. It's not the way it was during that first week or two, but it's still here and it's a heavy burden. I keep telling myself she's in a better place and all that, but it doesn't do me much good. I have good days and bad days, one minute I'm laughing and everything's normal, the next I'm on the verge of crying. I am slowly finding some peace and acceptance, but it will take some time before I actually accept this all. I miss her a lot, I miss coming here and looking at some new photos from a dinner or something like that, I miss speculating what is her next move going to be. I miss all that that could have been, but now never will. A couple of days ago I saw an interview with Jordin about Sparkle and before I read it, for one split second, I was like "Was Whitney there? Was she also interviewed?". And then the bubble burst and I was left with the realization that there will never be another interview. A devastating thought.

Anyway, I guess I have to take it step by step. It will get better, but this hole in my heart will never be filled. It has "Whitney" engraved all over it.

Take care, love you all.
