did yall hear HateRetha (Aretha) on the Today show...she is planning on doing a Whitney tribute on BET...I'd assume they've asked her to honor her at the BET Awards though I could be wrong. She did say she was doing something for Whitney & that it wasn't a recording, but something for TV & named BET

Yes I heard it and read it. Shadeful BLEEP! hate-retha needs to step the BLEEP! off. The girl looked up to you and you couldn't even show up to her funeral after the level of success she had (which you wanted) killed her. Now you wanna tribute after you took your leg spasm and hoarse self to the stage to sing that night not even an hour away. WHACK.

Hate-retha. She *EARNED* that BLEEP! Name February 18th.

Aretha really earned that nickname with me too after her antics at the funeral. I even deleted all her music from my itunes I was so angry.
If she does a heartfelt tribute here though she could go some way to redeeming herself for me. And I could possibly enjoy her music again.

thanks Pontus. Seeing the clips of Broadway remember's Whitney was heartwarming and really nice. bravo to those talented people!

They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway
They say there's always magic in the air
But when your walking down the street
And you hear that whitney beat
You know she's a star and shine's everywhere.

I love you forever whitney!

I was speechless when I found them, these people can sing and they obviously LOVE her.

Yeap. it's beautiful because not only did they give the proceeds to charity, without any bells and whistles, but Broadway man, these people are the real deal.

Ya know when i saw your post, i was listening to George Benson (live) weekn in la with on Broadway and GLOA on it, that album is special. I was thinking, Whitney would have been 15/16 when that album was out, the song on Broadway was huge then, and pictured a young cute Whitney dreaming along to it, going to her Broadway shows etc. Something like that.

I hope you've been good pontus! One love. one Whitney forever.

A Brave heart is a Powerful weapon. A Voice inspires the Way. One Love. Whitney forever

Mmmhmmm. I'll believe it when I see it. What kind of tribute could she do after all the shade she's thrown? My side-eye is so far to the side that my sockets hurt. Why doesn't she just link herself to a chain of fools and let it clink on down a freeway of hate in a rusted pink Cadillac. I can't wait to hear the excuse she will give for why she is unable to do this "tribute."

I'm willing to forgive you, Aretha, but I can't forget...

You guys are killing me! :roflmao:

Wouldn't it be great if she got to see some of our posts, especially these? I wonder if that would get her off her high horse. I doubt it, but one can hope... :shades:

Amazing tribute.

I love Kirk Franklin's story about Whitney holding his kids and his kids started crying because they didn't know who she was, and he said "shut up you've been held by a legend" lol

WOW!

In addition to Kirk Franklin's admonition to his children, I love his line,
"It's just about being hurt and being okay with being hurt right now."
