This Friday is shaping up to be one of the greatest: it's the official launch of phase one of my small business. I'm launching my online e-zine called, "HIM Magazine", a Christian magazine that not only looks at the issues and problems with the church, but also highlights the unknown talent hiding out there in the church. I have some amazing writers who are writing for the magazine on a volunteer basis right now, but I hope we get enough readers that I can actually take the e-zine to actual print and hire my volunteer staff as a real, working, paid staff. That's my ultimate goal. Shortly after this (as soon as my pastor finishes reading my book), I'll be releasing my book, "Meditations of the Heart: Experiencing True Godly Meditation." That's a book that's close to my heart because I'd always wanted to know what true meditation was and when God revealed it to me, it was awesome so I put what He gave me on paper!
After those two things happen, my books of poetry (what everyone is waiting on, really, LOL) are being released. It's been SO HARD selecting just the right poems for the book. It's a themed, 3 book, poetry collection called, "The Soul Series" and book one is, "The Soul's Perfection." I can't get one poem out of my head and it's called "Silk Stockings." Probably one of my most favorite in the book!
At any rate, I know there are some talented writers on this board. If you're at all interested in writing for a cutting edge Christian magazine, PM me or email me. I tell all my writers, "if you start with me from the beginning, I plan on taking care of you when the magazine becomes BIG!" More details about what I expect from you as a writer when you email (nothing too taxing or strenuous, I promise).
