The Nippy Awards

Since 2001, The Nippy Awards have become Whitney-Fan.com's unofficial way of honoring the best, the worst and the rest of all that goes on here on the BBS (Bulletin Board System), Web board, or whatever else you want to call it. The "season" of eligibility last 6 months.

We're going to use this blog to post nominations throughout the year. If you think someone deserves a Nippy nomination, please tell us by posting a comment below! This current season we will be considering any and everything from June 15, 2008 through December 15, 2008.


Nippy Awards Categories


BEST BBS NON-WHITNEY FANATIC PERFORMANCE (this award is for anyone or group of people with a fixation on one thing non-Whitney related)


WEIRDEST THREAD


BEST THREAD


BEST ONE-LINER IN A POST (try to stick to one-liners, but there is latitude to include an entire passage or stanza, if you will)


BEST BBS BANNER QUOTE (this award can go to captions inside the banner or in the signature area of a post)


BEST BBS REPORTER (this award is for someone who posts alot of news, not neccessarily all Whitney related)


BEST LOW-KEY POSTER (this award is for someone who posts quite infrequently)


FIRST AID AWARD (this award is for someone whose been very helpful on Whitney-Fan)


BEST BBS RIVALRY, DUO OR GROUP


BEST IGNORED POSTER (this award is for someone who posts pretty regularly but flies under the radar for some reason)


BEST BBS COMEDIC PERFORMANCE


BEST DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE


BEST BBS LUNATIC


BEST BBS VILLAIN


BEST BBS DIVA


BEST BBS DIVO


BEST BBS COUPLE (this award can also go to people who are in synch with each other, for better or worse)


BEST BBS AGGRESSIVE PERFORMANCE (this is for someone with a strong, sometimes harsh personality, though not neccessarily mean)


BEST BBS NON-AGGRESSIVE PERFORMANCE (this is for someone for the most part with a polite, non-abrasive attitude)

BEST BBS NEWCOMER/BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE (please nominate yourself if you are new!)

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (this award is for someone who's been at Whitney-Fan a good while and has made a significant impact. Please explain your reason for nominating someone.)
